Dr. Stephen J. Marks with Neurology Associates of Westchester
Board-certified in both neurology (adult) and neurovascular neurology, Dr. Stephen J. Marks currently treats patients at Neurology Associates of Westchester in Hawthorne, New York. He also leads the Cerebrovascular Program and Stroke Center at Westchester Medical Center, a comprehensive stroke center in Valhalla, New York. The author of several chapters on stroke for medical textbooks, Dr. Stephen J. Marks has presented at the American Academy of Neurology on nine occasions. Named a Best Doctor by Castle Connolly Guide 20 times, he is a member and fellow of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Marks holds a bachelor of arts in biology from Colgate University and a medical degree from New York Medical College, where he earned a Mosby Scholarship Award for Scholastic Excellence. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, followed by a neurology residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Dr. Marks also participated in a stroke fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, with an additional focus on neuroplasticity and Alzheimer’s disease. Outside of work, Dr. Marks enjoys outdoor hobbies such as skiing, windsurfing, and spending time with his two daughters.
